Our next meeting to plan for this year's food drive is Monday February 20th 7pm at the home of Sara Babich, 1110 Retreat Lane, Marion, OH. We've had a good response to the Marion Star article and are thrilled to welcome all the new help. Thank you Marion.

- Mission Statement
When one stands alone with only one voice, it is harder to be heard and easier to fail. When one hand reaches out and holds on to another, both become stronger and voices become louder. If we begin to reach out and join together in greater numbers, we gain strength and there is nothing we cannot accomplish. Our mission is for each of us, regardless of our differences in political affiliation, religion, race, income, age, gender, and physical ability, to focus on what we have in common, to reach out to one another, and to become good neighbors in the Marion area community. One community can’t change the world immediately, but a community together can make a world of difference, one neighbor at a time.

Marion Act was presented with the Community Partner award at The Mid Ohio Foodbank's Operation Feed Victory Party for the Marion community's effective food drive campaign in 2010. "It was wonderful to see so many people that have such an interest in feeding people. While it is a flattering thing to be presented with such an award, it also seemed odd to all of our group there, to be getting an award for something all people should be active in doing, feeding the hungry. We are proud to have accepted it on behalf of all of Marion ACT and all of the people and places in Marion that worked in any capacity to help make our food drive a success. We must be doing something right. We will begin planning for next year's food drive soon, and I hope you and more people join in to help with this cause.
